Description

Dr. Edmund Skellings served a lifetime appointment as Poet Laureate of Florida from 1980 until his death in 2012.  He is remembered as a visionary who used digital technology to create animated poetry in surround sound.

Skellings' digital archives showcase recordings of his early performances as the first Electric Poet, poetry readings, lectures about the impact of technology on education and communication, and literary letters.  The collection contains correspondences, patents, academic papers, recordings, interviews, and articles.
