Vincent Hoelscher invited Edmund Skellings to serve on the Board of Directors of his company, Intercon Research, based in Huntsville, Alabama. Skellings accepted the invitation. Hoelscher and Skellings became friends when Hoelscher worked for Ramtek Corporation. Hoelscher introduced Skellings at the first National Educational Computer Conference.
