Edmund Skellings proposes his idea for a Florida Writers Networkshop to Don Edwards of IBM, Florida Secretary of State Jim Smith, and Florida State University System Vice Chancellor William Shade. Skellings had coined the word Networkshop to describe an organization in which Creative Writers Workshops at different universities could share their writing over the internet in a Florida Writers Network.
